Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Tesla Energy Tracker handles information when you use the service.
Information authorized through Tesla
Tesla may provide OAuth tokens, a regional API address, vehicle information and location, charging information, energy-product identifiers, site configuration, live energy status, energy history, backup events, and compatible charging information. The exact information depends on your products, permissions, and Tesla's response.
Information we do not receive
Your Tesla password is entered directly on Tesla's website. Although vehicle command scope supports an explicit vehicle-wake request, the dashboard does not expose general vehicle or energy commands.
How information is used
Authorized information is used to authenticate requests, display vehicle and energy status, create requested reports, save vehicle-history snapshots you explicitly request, provide downloads, maintain security, and diagnose errors.
OAuth sessions
Access and refresh tokens are stored in an encrypted server-side session. A random signed session identifier is stored in a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite cookie. Sessions expire no later than 30 days after authorization and are deleted sooner when you select Disconnect.
Vehicle history
Snapshots are saved when a full vehicle-data load succeeds or when you select Save current snapshot. They contain battery, range, odometer, charging, and temperature measurements but exclude latitude and longitude. Saved history is encrypted on the server and can be permanently deleted from the dashboard.
Energy data and reports
Energy information is requested when you use the dashboard and is not saved as a separate historical database. PDF, CSV, and JSON reports are generated on demand and streamed to your device; the service does not keep a report archive.
Server and security information
The hosting provider may process standard server information such as IP address, request time, URL, browser type, and error information for security and reliability.
Advertising and cookies
Advertising or consent providers may use cookies and similar identifiers where permitted. Tesla account information is not sold or intentionally provided for advertising targeting.
Your choices
You may delete vehicle history, disconnect, revoke access through Tesla, and request deletion assistance. See Data Deletion.
